Hellissandur Camping Ground

The campsite is located in a beautiful lava called Sandahraun. The area has a new service house with good facilities, including a kitchen, toilets, showers and washbins. There is electricity in the area.
The campsite is operated by the information center in Snæfellsbæ that is located in the next town, Ólafsvík, about 9 km distance from Hellissandur. Many nice walking paths are close by and beautiful sandy beaches. The sunset seen from the camp site are beyond compare and the next door neighbour is the magnificent glacier Snæfellsjökull.
