Óbyggðaferðir ehf - ATVICELAND offers tours in Iceland’s 5 Star Nature! The tours are in the neighborhood of the great Fljotshlid, which is known for its beautiful nature and places known for it´s uniqueness.

In only short distance from Lambalaekur Farm we are able to reach gems like Thorsmork, Eyjafjallajökull, Hungurfit, Landmannalaugar, Hrafntinnusker and Langisjor.

ATV´SOur ATV’s are registered, as on road vehicles and we are therefore able to offer you many variations of tours and activities – if you got a valid driver licence. They are automatic and easy to drive, so no experience is needed.

We do tours from 2 hours up to a whole day adventure and the tours are available all days – all year round! All trips can be tailored to your skill level – from complete beginners all the way up to very experienced drivers.

Included: English speaking guide We have insulated cover-all, helmet, balaclava face mask and warm gloves for you, Boots available upon request You bring: Warm clothes under the cover-all and your camera.

The tours 2-3 hourThis 2-3 hours ATV tour takes you between two of Iceland‘s most famous and notorious volcanos, Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull. We will be crossing small rivers and will visit waterfalls and caves along the way. From our base in Lambalækur we head to the North where you will experience driving in riverbeds and along less traveled paths West of Mt. Þríhyrningur. During the tour we will stop at a cave which was once inhabited by Irish monks located by the river Fiská. This stop offers a great view over the famous Hekla volcano and Mt. Tindfjoll.

At the cave we will light a fire where we treat ourselves with cup of coffee, te and hot chocolate. Just outside the cave entrance stands a rock formation believed to be home of elves and sometimes we even make contact with the inhabitants.

This tour offers an easy ride for everyone. 4-5 klst "Going into the Icelandic wild on quad bikes is definitely an experience you will never forget! " With so many routes to offer from our Lambalækur Farm, we welcome you to experience a 4-5 hours blind date with an Icelandic nature. Among routes are f.ex. Markarfljotsglufur canyon and Mt. Tindfjoll. The variable routes available takes you across unbridged rivers, to magnificent waterfalls and to untouched and exretemely beautiful wilderness in the Icelandic Highlands. This tour is a little more strenuous than the standard 2-3 hours tour.

However the tour offers breathtaking views and should not be missed if you are up to the task!

DaytourWe can tailor make the tour to your wishes. Example of routes available: Mt Hekla area or Fjallabak, Hungurfit, Markarfljótsgljúfur Canyon and more. The variable routes available takes you across unbridged rivers, to magnificent waterfalls and to untouched and extremely beautiful wilderness in the Icelandic Highlands. However the tour offers breathtaking views and should not be missed if you are up to the task!

ÞórsmörkThorsmork is „must see“ during your stay in Iceland. Dicover the mysteries of Thorsmörk on this journey to the popular Thorsmork Nature Reserve at the foot of the famous Eyjafjallajökull Glacier/Volcano. This trip entails many exciting river crossing. Thorsmörk is a valley situated between the rivers Krossa, Thronga and Markarfljot.
