Situated in south eastern Iceland, at the head of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier branching from the Vatnajökull, between Skaftafell National Park and Höfn, it evolved into a lagoon after the glacier started receding from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

The word natural must be used with care. But for one small European nation it is the perfect description because everything about it reflects a natural way of life that is healthy and adventurous. Iceland – naturally.

Think of Iceland and there are several familiar associations: hip Reykjavík, the beautiful therapeutic Blue Lagoon, or perhaps our musical exports Björk or Sigur Rós. But this land of boiling mud pools, spurting geysers, glaciers and waterfalls is also an adventure playground. Its breathtaking landscape is also an inspiration to artists and photographer.
Iceland - pure, natural unspoiled
